This one’s personal. Pour yourself something warm and settle in, because I want to share a little of my story with you today.
I spent years as a musician. Music was my identity, my passion, the thing I had built my whole adult life around. But somewhere along the way, the joy started to get quieter. The demands got louder. And I found myself wondering, is this still mine?
The Day Everything Changed
I picked up my first craft tool almost on a whim. I remember thinking it would just be a hobby. But then a friend saw what I was making and said, “Can I buy one of those?” And something lit up inside me that I hadn’t felt in a long time. That spark was the beginning of Rtistic Creations.
What Making Gave Me That Nothing Else Could
Creating with my hands gave me presence. When I’m working on a piece of laser-cut wood art or finishing a tumbler, I’m completely in that moment. It also gave me purpose in a new direction. I started teaching other women how to build their own creative businesses…and that became Resources 4 Creatives.
What I Want You to Know
If you’re sitting in that in-between place… where you know something needs to change but you’re not sure you’re brave enough…I see you. You don’t have to burn your life down to start something new. You just have to take the first small, honest step. And then another. And another after that.
